This input preamp is at the front of the echo circuit and I have it set a hair above neutral. so if the Brain preamp is on then you will hear a slight raise in output when it hits the front of the echo circuit. Then.. the vibrato circuit ALSO has its own preamp but that is only experienced on the echo slap back. If you turn up the preamp trimmer on the echo circuit, your repeats get dirty and noisier. Turn it back the other way and its level decreases a bit and cleans ups. NOTE: it unlike the big blue trimpot inside, isnt meant to be continually turned and if over turned, will snap off. Reading glasses and an eyeglass,jewelers screwdriver works a charm... like I mentioned the blue trimpot is more sturdy and it controls the wet.dry boost of the vibrato circuit. I have it all set up so that when the atomic preamp is on, it pushes on the front of the echo circuit and causes a tiny bit of saturation to the echo chip creating a more realistic vintage tape vibe. Putting on the vibrato switch, even if set to a subtle warble then enable one more gain stage completing the emulation of an old tape machine. Now.. one could go, hey I thought this was a pure re-301 tape echo emulation box. Finally an improvement on a nasty cool vintage Fuzz that is well known for surf meets spaghetti western soundtracks. This is the Silicon metal can version that will let you swap in your favorite tone caps and NPN transistors if you think your way is better than mine. I like mine though and currently running them in gloss black w gold side scallops in sort of a Las Vegas meets hotrod scheme . The caps and transistors are socketed which really make this fuzz much more versatile than the original. A little less spit but plenty of adjustable snarl. PLUS I've added a tone control to allow you to set your texture of fuzz with maximum treble punch or warm dark growl. This is an agressive fuzz, like angry bees with nails and perfect for surf instros with plenty of wet reverb, or desert dry spaghetti western style raunch. You know I love my gretsch guitars and I've designed this work exceptionally well with tvjones filtertrons and t-armond, hand in glove!! (I'm not affiliated with Gretsch guitars I just own and play them more than the other guitars) be sure to check soon in our video gallery for demos of this new fuzz.

Allow 9 weeks build time
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1080/6428/products/17126042_273490483072703_951711121536974848_n.jpg?v=1488884547
el-pescadoro-reverberant-hot-preamp
EL PESCADORO™ REVERB by The NOCTURNE Brain -Octal tube style preamp(jr barnyard) w 2 channel Reverb

Reverberant Hot Preamp (prewar EH150/85 preamp + pre fender REVERB). For Guitar, Steel Guitar, Keys and Harp!! This is a JR BARNYARD Octal Tube Character preamp w Chess Records Era REVERBs to model the "Recorded Sounds" heard on those old chicago waterfront albums.

A Ltd. run of HaHa 2 tone w contrast colorway for this batch, blk tall knobs (and red) ships June 30

Full Video Demo by RJ Ronquillo!!

No 60's "reverb tank" here at all.. this is way before premier & leo got springy.
